With many years of experience as an Indian wedding photographer in Peachtree Corners, GA, I had the privilege of capturing this vibrant and joyful moment during the Baraat, the groom’s wedding procession, at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast, located about 27 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
The Baraat is one of the most exciting parts of any Indian wedding. During this tradition, the groom is accompanied by his family, friends, and relatives as they make their way to the wedding venue, often dancing to lively music. The procession can include elegant cars, horses, chariots, or even elephants, depending on the celebration. Upon arrival, the bride’s family warmly welcomes the groom, and the bride traditionally places a flower garland around his neck, symbolizing love and union.
This particular summer wedding glowed under the bright sun, surrounded by lush greenery. The photograph captures the energy and rhythm of the moment, preserving the authentic atmosphere of joy, movement, and celebration that defines the Baraat.
