This Bengali wedding’s Mehendi–Henna celebration took place at the Mountain View Community Center in Cobb County, GA, about 36 miles north of Atlanta. As an Indian-background American, I understand the cultural depth, customs, and heritage found across India’s many regions. As an Indian photographer in Atlanta, it was an honor to capture the romantic moments of the couple and joyful energy during this beautiful celebration.
Bengali and Indian weddings are famous for their vibrant colors, meaningful rituals, and multi-day traditions. Every event tells a story, and Mehendi night is one of the most cherished parts. During this ceremony, henna is applied to the bride, bridesmaids, family, and even guests, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and bright cultural expression.
